  • Re: travel around Arizona

You do not need a US driver's license to rent a car or to drive in the USA. You can use any valid European license. If you check our car rental link on USATourist.com , and search with "Phoenix" and the dates in December when you will travel, and pick "no preference" for car type...

  • Travel from Denver to LA

I am thinking of driving from Denver to LA in February 2010 (11 days). I like to visit as many as possible attractions on the way (Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Last Vegas etc.). I appreciate any suggestions and advices: - How is the condition of the street in February? Which type of car should I hire...

Hello. We are planning a road trip from Washington DC to Niagara falls (stopping for sleep between them) and then from Niagara falls to Boston (sleeping between them too). I am going with my wife and my daughter with a rented car. I would like to know some sightseeing places through the route to stop...

  • Re: The West Coast USA and Western Canada

Hello Jenn and Matt, If you were to drive from L.A. to Seattle on the Interstate Highway you could do it in 3 days of heavy driving. Driving the Pacific Coast Highway is a good bit slower. But I do think that with 2 weeks you should have enough time to enjoy plenty of sights along the way. I cannot quote...

  • Re: Travelling from Seattle to Vegas in January

Hello, I had made that trip about 6 years ago in the autumn. It can be a very beautiful drive. Seattle winter weather normally is not cold enough for snow. You will more likely encounter rain. And as long as you keep a reasonable distance from the car in front of you, you should be fine. Though it does...

  • Re: Long road trip around the US

Hi Jessie, I think that you would likely want to take longer than 3 months to do all of the routes on the Road Trip USA site. We regularly hear from folks who want to see it all when the come to the US. I don't blame them. With all that I've seen I still want to do more! But if you don't...

  • Long road trip around the US

My boyfriend and I were thinking about planning a US roadtrip (in 2010) and I've read through a few websites, including this one, that say it is not advisable to buy a car and sell it before leaving. We want to do it for 3 months, but a rental car for this long will be expensive. I don't really...

  • Re: san francisco to las vegas

Hello, Unfortunately there is no a very direct route between San Francisco and Las Vegas. In December it is probably best if you stick to the major highways. Interstate 5 south - Hwy 99 S - hwy 58 E - I-15 N. That is because if you try to take a more direct route, cutting east through Northern CA, you...
