There are hundreds of hotels near Disney World south of Orlando Florida. Only twenty-four of those hotels are official Disney operated properties situated within the Disney World Park. The rest of the hotels are independently operated establishments located outside of the park.

All of the Disney hotels are very nice properties with various theme-oriented designs, excellent amenities and the renowned outstanding Disney service. They offer certain advantages over the non-Disney hotels, but they also cost a bit more than comparable independent hotels. The prices range from moderately priced to very expensive.

Since the Disney hotels are all located within the park, they are very convenient to all of the Disney World attractions. Free transportation is available on Disney buses, trains, monorails or boats to take you to any attraction. As a guest at an official Disney hotel, you will receive special privileges such as early access to the attractions and special pricing on park-entry packages.

The Port Orleans Resort Featuring tranquil waterways and a 19th-century Louisiana atmosphere, Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside draws inspiration from the writings of Mark Twain and is approximately 22 miles from Orlando International Airport. Disney's Beach Club Villas Adjacent to Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney's Beach Club Villas provide lakeside vacation homes decorated in a late 19th-century style. A three-acre stretch of beach is home to Stormalong Bay - a mini-water park with a beached shipwreck slide. Disney's Pop Cnter Resort is Disney's newest value accommodation resort. It is located near the Disney MGM-Studios at Osceola Parkway and Century Way and encompasses 177 acres. Within features larger-than-life icons of pop culture fads, toys, dance crazes and catch phrases. The first phase of the, the Classic Years 1950s-90s, has begun taking reservations since December, 2003.
